I was supposed to be born in Louisbourg but my father had to go to a job in Montreal during the war and I got born there. I am supposed to be living in Louisbourg but when I moved to Seniors they moved me to Sydney because I had a dog. I still feel like I am from Louisbourg

Gary LeDrew is from Louisbourg and lived on the Lighthouse.as a child.
He  moved to and grew up in Uxbridge Ontario. He has had an adventurous
life, including wintering in the Caribbean on sailboats and delivering racing
yachts etc.  He  was in Navy and  a bosun on a Squarerigger.
He owned a famous afterhours club in Toronto in the late 70’s’and is personal
friends with many of the players of that era..  He has worked  in movies and the
entertainment business and was a computer executive for some years
He has painted most of his life and was friends and a con frere  of most
of the Canadian Artists in the 60’s 70’s Toronto Art scene.
He has had a few Toronto shows and has had several Art Shows in Uxbridge
many featuring historic scenes of Uxbridge He is in several collections
His Art is a mixture of Digital, Acrylic Painting and Collage in various styles.
In 2004 he moved back to  Louisbourg, photographing and creating Art
of his favourite  place in the world. Cape Breton Island
